Short-Term Mission Trips

MOLDOVA
This trip will be two fold. We are excited to partner with churches where our youth will host a 3 day “summer day camp” for the Moldovan youth. The idea is youth focused evangelism from our youth to their youth. This will include sports, games, activities, music/worship and outreach. There is something for everyone who has a desire to share the love of Jesus with others. We will also put together a pastors retreat for 15-20 pastors and their families. For many pastors, this is the only vacation they take every year. Most Moldovan pastors have regular jobs outside of pastoring their churches or church plants. We would like more seasoned volunteers for this portion of the trip.
Trip Dates: Target date: 18 June – 3 July 2026 (15-16 days)
Estimated Cost: approx. $3,000

CVCC typically hosts short-term missions trips for the CVCC congregation each year – often in the June-July timeframe.
We’ve taken trips to many parts of the world. In 2025 CVCC sent teams to Ecuador, Estonia, Kenya, Moldova and Central California (Gleanings).

Manila, Philippines (currently on extended US furlough)
Robert & Kim Clark
The Clarks have served in missions for 36 years. They began as church planters in Czechia, where they helped establish and strengthen three churches and partnered to plant two new congregations in Brno. In 2013, their mission focus changed, and they moved to Manila, Philippines, to serve in theological education at a seminary and teach at Faith Academy, an international school.
Serving remotely from the U.S., Robert remains part of the Philippines team and the seminary’s pastoral ministry faculty. He teaches intensive online courses for Baptist Bible Seminary & Institute to prepare, equip, and mentor seminarians for ministry as pastors, teachers, preachers, evangelists, church planters, and missionaries.

Papua New Guinea
Michael & Morgan LeBlanc (children: Nash, Rosie)
Our goal is to plant a church amongst the Kuyu people, an unreached people group in the jungles of Papua New Guinea. Our team spent years learning the indigenous culture and language, developing an alphabet, and are now prepared to teach the Kuyu people to read and write in their own language for the first time. Once they are literate, we will share God’s story from beginning to end and disciple the church to maturity.
Orhei, REPUBLIC OF Moldova
Vasile & Natalia Farcas (children: Rebeca, Iosif)
For 25 years, we have lived and ministered in the city of Orhei. We joined “Good News” Baptist Church in 2000 to lead the youth group, and over the years our service expanded to include choir, missions to nearby villages, and in 2005, Vasile was ordained as pastor.
Currently, our focus is on missions within Orhei, and we are blessed to have a team of two other families working alongside us. Our team meets weekly for prayer and Bible study and engages with the community through home visits and events. As our outreach grows, we feel the need for a stable, permanent meeting space to be more effective. A dedicated space would allow us to host larger activities, hold consistent Bible studies, and begin laying the foundation for a new church in the city.
We are so grateful for your faithful partnership, which has made our work in Moldova possible. Thank you for standing with us. May God bless you greatly.

CHISINAU, REPUBLIC OF Moldova
Constantin and Ana Pavliuc (children: Maria, Ioan, Mirela)
My main ministry is serving as the Mission Coordinator for Operation Mobilisation (OM) in Moldova, where I am dedicated to supporting church planting in our nation’s least-reached communities. I strategically coordinate projects across 20 locations in central and northern Moldova, providing essential assistance to the pastors and missionaries who are breaking new ground for the Gospel. This often involves on-site visits with short-term teams and utilizing my linguistic skills to lead and interpret during outreach events. Alongside this work, my passion for ministry extends to my local church, where I volunteer as a worship leader and enjoy fellowship with the elderly. As a family, we also share our musical gifts, visiting other churches and participating in evangelistic events to encourage believers and share our faith through song.

Bangkok, Thailand
Eliana Swenson
The megacity of Bangkok is 98% unreached and home to the most notorious Red-Light districts in the world. Eliana is in the beginning stages of her ministry term, learning the Thai language and building networks with local ministry partners already ministering to girls in the Red-Light districts. Many factors cause girls to enter and stay in the sex industry, from financial burdens and cultural/familial pressures to manipulation, spiritual darkness, and addiction; breaking through these barriers, preventing more girls from entering the industry, and imaging Jesus’ compassion and friendship is the heart of Red-Light ministry. Through collaboration with Thai ministry partners and heavy investment in language & culture learning, Eliana will walk with the bar girls on the long road from the sex industry into new vocations, and hopefully into redeeming relationship with Jesus.

Hungary & Belgium
Marcel and Lea Buchner
My journey in ministry began in 1999 in Hungary, where I experienced a spiritual rebirth, met my wife, Lea, and eventually joined OM in 2010, serving for a time as field leader. After our family moved to the Netherlands in 2023, I transitioned to a new role with OM in Belgium, focusing on People Care. Recognizing the high rates of burnout and mental health struggles among missionaries, my role has expanded to facilitate pastoral and practical support for teams across Southern Europe. Our goal is to ensure that healthy, vibrant followers of Jesus are equipped to build healthy, vibrant communities among the least reached.
To achieve this, I am actively involved in several key initiatives. I help lead a “Face to Face” course, an immersive space where missionaries can pause, reflect, and find deep healing by reconnecting with their identity in God. I also facilitate an online course on People Care, followed by personal coaching to help participants apply what they’ve learned in their own ministries. In essence, my work is to stand side by side with missionaries and leaders, providing the support they need to remain vital and effective in their calling.

Atila & Marta Kapocs
We serve with Operation Mobilisation (OM), where Attila carries a multi-faceted leadership mantle. As the Regional Leader for Central Europe, he guides the ministry efforts in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Austria. His influence extends continent-wide as he is also responsible for leadership development across Europe, a role in which he thrives by training and mentoring mission leaders and their boards. Attila’s passion for ministry also finds a powerful expression through the arts; for 15 years, he has managed tours for the Bill Drake Band, a dynamic OM-CVCC partnership that brings the Gospel to Hungary and beyond. Additionally, he helps coordinate BalatonNET, a vibrant summer Bible conference at Lake Balaton that ministers to over 1,000 people annually, making it a key event for spiritual growth in the region.

Ecuador
Chris and Samantha Visscher
We serve in the central highlands of Ecuador, since 2016, partnering with an Ecuadorian ministry called CODEINSE to bring clean, reliable water to rural communities. The ministry is primarily focused in the central Andes, with a particular connection to the Quichua community.
God has given us the desire to see entire communities transformed physically and spiritually. The Bible is clear that we are to help the poor and needy; providing clean drinking water is one small way that we can use the tools that God has given us to help. In addition, the water projects provide an amazing relationship-building tool with the community, building trust with communities and opening doors within the communities for VBS, medical outreaches, bible studies, church planting, etc.
