2024 short-term mission trips

Gleanings For the Hungry - Central California

Gleanings is located in Dinuba, CA and is a mercy ministry of Youth With A Mission. Their mission is to feed the hungry of the world, both physically and spiritually.

In the summer, they dry peaches and nectarines that are not pristine enough for sale. Year round, they also produce a healthy dehydrated soup mix for distribution. Everything they produce is then given free of charge to partner ministries around the world and to be distributed in impoverished areas with the love of Jesus.

This will be a local missions trip that welcomes families and individuals of all ages including kids.

Dates: June 23 - June 28

Estonia

On our Estonia trip, we’ll partner with Josiah Venture and their team of Estonian leaders as they seek to evangelize and disciple the Estonian youth in their community.

Soccer camp is the draw, but the ultimate goal is to encourage campers to receive eternal life and develop their relationship with Jesus Christ.

We’re not looking for soccer stars! We’re looking for young men and women who are passionate about serving the Lord at home and abroad.

Dates: June 21 - June 30

Ecuador

The CVCC Ecuador trip is a mission in partnership with Free Wheelchair Mission, Fundacion Vista Para Todos in Quito, and CVCC.

Generous partners have funded hundreds of wheelchairs for the poor that our team gets to distribute with our partner there, typically in public venues from 10-50 at a time.

We do evangelism, care for the poor, and physical work with the chairs and recipients. There is bus travel within the country and sometimes in-country flight.

We stay in reasonably nice accommodations and are treated very well by the partner organization.

Dates: July 19 - July 29

Moldova

Moldova became independent from the Soviet Union not too long ago in 1991. As a country, it is a wide open, blank canvas waiting for the influence and impact of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

By European standards, Moldova is a very poor country. However, its people is warm and welcoming. But, less than 3% of the population are Evangelical Christians.

Our team partners with a group of local pastors and churches to work on community outreach. We do that through - family/parenting events, community service, VBS, women’s tea and other activities.

We also coordinate and resource a pastor’s retreat for all of the local pastors we work with. Most Moldovan pastors have to work a full-time job (or several part-time jobs) to support their families. They rarely, if ever, take a vacation or have time to rest and renew. Our team puts together this retreat for them so that they have a place and time to rest, refresh and renew - ensuring the health of their family relationships and the long-term effectiveness of their ministries.

Dates: TBD (early July)
