Register here for the CVCC Men’s Ministry for a fun day of shooting, fellowship and lunch at Prado Olympic Shooting Range. No prior shooting experience is needed. Range and shooting instruction will be provided. Fathers bring your sons 16 and older to enjoy a shotgun Trap competition or plinking at the pistol/rifle range.

Shotgun Trap competition safety instruction (for beginners) will start at 9:30am with trap shooting starting at 10:00 am. Seasoned shooters do not need to attend the safety instruction. But be sure to get there early to check in. Shooting begins at 10. 

All shotguns, ammo, clay targets, ear & eye protection (and lunch) will be provided. This is what the $75 covers. Prado Shooting Range will provide a Range Safety Officer at both trap ranges. The Trap competition will consist of two rounds of 25 targets each. The first round (warm up round) will be counted to determine which skill level the shooter will compete at for the competition (2nd round). The competition levels will be beginner, intermediate and advanced shooters. The second round of 25 targets will be counted as your score. Winners in each category level, beginner, intermediate and advanced shall receive a prize for winning their category. 

If you would like to shoot your own shotgun please bring them. Cost for Trap shooting and lunch is $75.00. If any shooter would like to shoot more rounds of Trap, they may purchase additional ammo and targets at the Prado Range Office. Prado Shooting Range will let shooters use their shotguns if any shooter would like to shoot additional rounds of Trap.

For those who would enjoy shooting pistols or rifles, please bring your own guns and ammo to the range. This is extra and not a part of the $75 registration fee. Prado has both pistol and rifle ranges available. Rifles need to be chambered in pistol caliber ammo. No high power rifles are allowed. There is a fee of $25.00 to use either rifle or pistol range for the entire day. Shooters will need to provide their own guns, ammo, targets, ear and eye protection. If a shooter only wants to shoot pistols or rifles and not be a part of the trap shooting, no need to pay the $75.00. Pistol and rifle shooters please come and enjoy fellowship and lunch with everyone at the shotgun range.

A BBQ lunch will be provided. Feel free to bring any side dishes or chips and drinks you would like to contribute. The lunch area will be adjacent to the trap ranges. Shooters will be cycling through the shooting and so there will be plenty of time for food and fellowship.

Please note all shooters must wear protective ear, eye and shoes while shooting at all ranges. No sandals will be allowed while shooting on the range. Helping cleanup at the end would be appreciated.
